Varsity Softball Puts Up 14 Runs in Big Area Win Over Pinson

The Gardendale Varsity Softball team started strong up 5-0 after the first inning and then added 9 more runs after the next 3 innings, to just one run for Pinson, and it would be all they needed to beat Pinson
14-5 in 7 innings.

Pinson Valley threatened in the 5th with 4 runs, but couldn’t sustain the run.

Sophie Gant got the start and allowed only 2 hits and one run through 3 innings. Reagan Howard came in to pitch 4 innings, giving up 5 hits and striking out 3.

Lillie Piersol, Anna Valentine, Natalie Snow, Kenley Vaughn, and Catey Thomas each had a hit in the game.

Kara Jasper and Maddie Tucker each had 2 hits and 3 RBIs.

Natalie Snow had a solo homer in the 3rd inning and 3 RBIs on the night.
