18 Students Awarded Leadership Scholarships By Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A has awarded Remarkable Future Scholarships to students working for local stores since 1970. According to Chick-fil-A, it has awarded 136 million in scholarships since inception.

Local owners and operators nominate students working in their locations for scholarships each year. Mike Holmes, owner and operator of the Gardendale and Fultondale Chick-fil-A locations happily awarded 18 of his student employees with Leadership Scholarships, which range from $1,000 to $2,500.

When asked about what his playing a role in awarding Leadership Scholarships to 18 deserving employee-students means to him, Mike stated “I’m aware that in my business a portion of our team members will only be with us for a season and it’s my goal to do the best we can to develop these young leaders into the best version of themselves they can be to prepare them to be successful adults. This scholarship helps us in that endeavor by helping those students pursue their college degrees in a tangible way. It’s one of the greatest joys for me to get to be a part of that development and see them grow themselves educationally.”

Award receipients receive the money direct and may use it at any college they choose.
