The 30+ Million Bill Noble Park Breaks Ground June 2nd

The land is cleared and ready. The most ambitious park project in Gardendale’s history is ready to finally break ground next Thursday, June 2nd. Mayor Stan Hogeland has invited the entire community for the official groundbreaking that will take place between 12pm and 1pm.

The 30+ million dollar facility is backed by a bond issue by the City and Mayor Hogeland posted on Facebook  that it will be a project for “the entire family unit at Bill Noble Park (Moncrief). Nine baseball/softball fields, a football/soccer/lacrosse field, ten tennis courts, 11 pickleball courts, a modern playground, pavilions, walking trails, sidewalks and a building available for rentals. Work should begin late this year with a scheduled opening of March 1, 2023. The athletic fields will all be synthetic turf and be designed for both baseball and softball thus allowing our boys baseball and girls softball to play in the same park. Then, on the weekends, we will market this across the southeast as a tournament hosting facility that will be an economic development engine for all of North Jefferson county.”
