Gardendale Softball made quick work of Huffman on Senior Night on Tuesday as they needed just 2 1/2 innings to send Huffman home 18-0 in an area game.
The Rockets scored 11 runs in the first and 7 more in the 2nd as they had a total of 10 walks for the game and 4 hits.
Huffman walked 10 Rocket batters and had 4 errors in the field.
Miya Covington and Mary Grace Sizemore each had a hit for Gardendale and Cheyenne Simpson led the Rockets going 2 for 3 with 5 RBIs. Lillie Piersol had 3 RBIs.
Kendall Norman got the win for Gardendale. She faced 11 batters and struck out 8.
Gardendale honored Kara Jasper, Cheyenne Simpson, Catey Thomas, Nattie Miles and Mary Grace Sizemore on Senior Night.
Gardendale improves to 26-10-1 on the season.
