Jefferson County School District Superintendent Dr. Walter Gonsoulin noted in the September 1st Jefcoed Journal, that the District is still in need of full time bus drivers.
While Gonsoulin stressed that there are drivers for all routes, “we are still having to ask mechanics to drive routes.” Gonsoulin says that while he is appreciative of the fill in driving by the mechanics, “we’d like to have enough full time drivers, where the mechanics can focus on their work in the shop.”
