With the resignation of Kimberly City Councilman Jay Jenkins due to moving out of the city, the Kimberly Council has opened the position for Kimberly residents to submit their resume for the position.

The Council will interview for the open seat from resumes submitted by 5pm on November 3rd to the City Clerk at City Hall. According to the City, Kimberly Council members receive $100.00 per month as compensation for expenses.

The new Councilor will serve the remainder of the current term with new municipal elections slated for 2025.

Kimberly Mayor Robert Ellerbrock told The Herald that the City “would like to thank Mr. Jenkins for his service to the City and, while I am sure we will miss Jay, we are excited for the opportunity for someone new to get involved in our community.”
